Teach little kids to pray in response to God’s word.

Pray with your children in response to Bible truths using this beautifully illustrated book of prayers. Each page begins with a Bible-story summary and a verse from the Bible, followed by a responsive prayer. Children will learn to say wow, thank you, sorry and please as they get to know God better. There are even actions to go with each response!

Features:

92 prayers that relate to the 92 stories featured in God’s Big Promises Bible Storybook, so you can use this prayer book alongside the Bible Storybook.
9 additional prayers specifically for bedtime that are based on Bible verses. They will help kids to give thanks and know that God is with them as they go to sleep.
An index of prayers at the back linking to prayers for particular circumstances or feelings, such as prayers when feeling anxious, prayers when feeling tired, and prayers when feeling scared.

This wonderful book of prayers will give kids a framework that will help them to pray by themselves as they grow up.

This book of prayers for children goes with the God’s Big Promises Bible Storybook, and it’s also great as an independent resource. The book contains 100 short, kid-friendly prayers, and the graphic design layout is colorful and appealing. Each page begins with a clear heading, such as “Jesus is Born,” and then includes a brief summary of that Bible story. Then there’s a Bible passage, and this appears next to a vignette from one of Jennifer Davison’s illustrations from the Bible storybook. After this, there is a paragraph-length prayer, and it includes some words in bold and a different color font to highlight different aspects of prayer, such as praise, sorrow for sins, gratitude, and requests.

Carl Laferton wrote each prayer in a simple, engaging way that is suitable for young children, and the book shows kids how to talk to God, and how to pray in response to Scripture. The book also covers the entirety of redemptive history, from Genesis to Revelation, and teaches key concepts related to how God always keeps His promises. The prayers correspond to each of the Bible stories in the storybook, and there are some bedtime-themed prayers at the end. This book also includes an index, so that people can easily find prayers that address different themes and emotions. This book is great for families to use alongside the Bible storybook by the same author, and it also includes sufficient summaries of each Bible story to work as a standalone.

God’s Big Promises Bible Story Prayers: 101 Prayers for Children is a great resource for people who are looking for a way to teach young children about prayer. This book expresses spiritual concepts in simple, accessible language, teaches kids about different things we talk to God about, and highlights how we can pray in response to God’s revelation in Scripture. This is a great resource for family devotions and church settings, and the book is very nice quality and will hold up through many repeated uses. This is a sturdy hardcover with thick, glossy pages and a reinforced binding, and there is even a nice ribbon bookmark. Overall, I’m very impressed with this book, and I would recommend it to families and churches.
